chickabu handbag designer and owner, Connie Paradise, an admitted purse-aholic finds inspiration from the two little urchins above and the namesakes for the company.  Affectionately nicknamed Chick and Buddy during a frenzied backyard soccer game, they keep their grandmother young and creative. 

Connie has been sewing and creating for 35 years and first learned to sew with the help of her mother, Violet.  Beginning with Barbie doll clothes and creating fur trimmed parkas and elaborate evening gowns from scraps of fabric, she moved on to designing and making her own clothes and accessories.

A portion of all proceeds is donated to Make-A-Wish MidAtlantic.
